DATASET OVERVIEW

Abstract

Center for Global Environmental Research, National Institute for Environmental Studies is conducting comprehensive monitoring of carbon cycle in terrestrial ecosystems under the program of Global Environmental Monitoring, which covers a wide range of environmental fields such as the atmosphere, ocean and biosphere. The Fuji hokuroku (FHK) site is located in a forest at the foothills of Mt Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture at an elevation of 1100 m. The long-term carbon cycle monitoring started in 2006 including the carbon dioxide exchange between the forest and the atmosphere as well as the carbon cycle processes in the ecosystem. This dataset includes energy, water, and CO2 fluxes, spectral radiation, and vegetation index data observed at the Fuji hokuroku site.

Observation data is copyrighted to Center for Global Environmental Research (CGER), National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES). You can use the data only for noncommercial purpose. For any publication using data, CGER/NIES must be informed and its approval must be obtained prior to publishing. The data provider may request co-authorship or acknowledgements. Please be informed that we have no concern with your cost by using the data.

Data Policy for Project

Data Integration and Analysis System

The terms of data use of data providers take first priority over the DIAS data usage policy. In the event a data provider has not established terms of use, the following DIAS project data terms of use apply.

1. Users shall prioritize and abide by terms of use stipulated by a data provider in the event such exist

2. The use of DIAS data sets is limited to research and educational purposes [*1]

3. Users shall not modify the content of DIAS data sets

4. Users shall not provide the content of DIAS data sets to third parties

5. In the event of using DIAS data sets in an academic presentation, paper, article, or report, etc., users shall cite in parenthesis the text given as the data citation

6. In the event of using DIAS data sets in an academic presentation, paper, article, or report, etc., users shall submit a copy of the work (an offprint in the case of a paper, or a copy of the lecture summary in the case of an oral or poster presentation) to the DIAS office below
